Applications are welcome from international students resident in Ireland (non EU/EEA), subject to migrant eligibility criteria (please see the ETBI Guide to Migrant Eligibility (PDF). It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that they meet Immigration status requirements when applying for our full and part time courses.

  • All Stamp 4, Stamp 4EUFAM, Stamp 5, and Stamp 6 applicants, as well as those with certain permission to remain in Ireland are eligible to undertake full time and part time FET courses.
  • All applicants who hold one of the above are requested to forward the relevant documentation to info@dcfe.ie when invited to do so.

International Students who qualify for waiver of fees:

A €50 acceptance and registration fee (non-refundable) is normally payable by all eligible applicants. However, those who satisfy the following criteria will have all fees waived:

    You must fulfil one of the following criteria as regards immigration status in Ireland:

    • Be in the International Protection System and have permission to work in the state or
    • Have official refugee status or
    • Be a family member of a refugee and have been granted permission to live in the State or
    • Have been granted permission to remain in the State by the Minister for Justice and Equality, following a determination by the Minister not to make a deportation order under Section 3 of the Immigration Act 1999.

    International Students who are not eligible to undertake courses in our college:

    • Our courses do not feature on the Interim List of Eligible Programmes for student visa purposes. All other applicants from outside of the State, other than those listed above, should note that Post Leaving Certificate courses are not eligible to obtain a student visa to enter the state.     International Students Next Steps

    International students are responsible for ensuring they are eligible to participate in our courses and must furnish the college with relevant documentation to support their application. This documentation might include a scan or photograph of your GNIB Stamp 4, or letter confirming international protection status or the International Protection Office (Blue) Card. Please email your documentation to info@dcfe.ie marked for “the attention of Admissions Office” in the subject line. Please reference your student ID application number, name and course when forwarding this documentation.
