Are you ready to make a difference in the world and help people in need? Our QQI Level 5 Applied Social Studies course introduces you to the area of social care in a variety of settings. Work Experience
Work Experience Our QQI Level 5 Applied Social Studies course includes a minimum of two weeks of work experience placement in a community service setting such as family resource centres, information centres, and drop-in services.
Progression
Our QQI Level 5 Applied Social Studies course provides you with a stepping stone towards a variety of further education and career opportunities. Successful graduates can make informed choices about working or studying further in the vocational areas of applied psychology and social studies. Graduates who achieve the required standard may also progress to Institutes of Technology and Universities, including Social Science (NUIM, MH107), Social Care Practice (IT Tallaght, TA025), Health & Society (DCU, DC209), Psychology (NCI, NC010), and Social Care Practice (IADT – BA Hons. in Social Care Practice, IT Carlow – BA in Applied Social Studies).
