Applications are welcome from international students resident in Ireland (non EU/EEA), subject to migrant eligibility criteria (please see the ETBI Guide to Migrant Eligibility (PDF). It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that they meet Immigration status requirements when applying for our full and part time courses.
- All EU/EEA applicants are eligible to undertake full time and part time courses.
- All Stamp 4, Stamp 4EUFAM, Stamp 5, and Stamp 6 applicants, as well as those with certain permission to remain in Ireland (e.g. temporary protection) are eligible to undertake full time and part time FET courses.
- International Protection Applicants who are eligible for “Labour Market Access Permission” can participate in courses.
- All applicants who hold one of the above are requested to upload their immigration documentation to the Enrol account created during application. Please note that applicants will not be able to complete registration without providing this documentation. It is important to note that uploading these documents does not necessarily confer eligibility, as this will need to be verified by the Admissions Team.
International Students who are not eligible to undertake courses in our college:
- Our courses do not feature on the Interim List of Eligible Programmes for student visa purposes. All other applicants from outside of the State, other than those listed above, should note that Post Leaving Certificate courses are not eligible to obtain a student visa to enter the state. Further details are available at www.icosirl.ie.
International Students Next Steps
International students are responsible for ensuring they are eligible to participate in our courses and must furnish the college with relevant documentation to support their application. Examples of documentation may include a scan or photograph of your GNIB Stamp 4, or letter confirming temporary protection status or the International Protection Office (Blue) Card and labour market letter. Please upload all immigration documentation to the Enrol account created during application.
