Aim
The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work independently or under supervision in an International Trade oriented environment, or to progress to further or higher education and training.
Work placement or work experience may be a core feature element of this programme to develop and enhance employability and transferrable skills. Entrepreneurial and business planning skills and modules may be available, to enable learners to explore self-employment as a career option.
Entry Requirements
- Leaving Cert or its equivalent is advised.
- Mature students are welcome to apply. Work/life experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

Career Opportunities
On completion of this Programme, learners may pursue a variety of related business and administrative sector roles within the international trade sector. Roles may include working in administrative, logistical, or informatics positions in a wide range of organisations.
Progression
This certificate can be used to progress to higher level studies in the Higher Education Institutes. Graduates may pursue a diploma or degree in many universities or IT colleges around the country.
