Aim

The Level 6 Software, Coding, and Cybersecurity course is designed to provide students who have completed the Level 5 Computer Science/Computer Systems and Networks courses (or equivalent) with the opportunity to design, develop, secure, and test software components for computer network systems. This course builds upon their knowledge and equips them with the most up-to-date software and security technologies to prepare them for a career in this rapidly growing area.

Our programme is well-known to employers, and many of our graduates have gone on to work for household name companies. Our employer engagement liaison reveals a need for security awareness among software programmers and cybersecurity professionals more generally. In response, our Level 6 course covers a range of topics related to cybersecurity, such as threat analysis and risk assessment, data protection, and cyber law. Students will learn how to develop secure software components and analyze software vulnerabilities.

By completing the Level 6 Software, Coding, and Cybersecurity course, students will be well-positioned to start their careers as software developers, network security specialists, or cybersecurity consultants. They will be equipped with the most current and in-demand skills and knowledge in the field, and ready to make a positive impact on the digital world.
