Aim

Are you ready to make a difference in the world and help people in need? Our QQI Level 5 Applied Social Studies course introduces you to the area of social care in a variety of settings. You’ll develop the core skills and knowledge to practice safely in caring for people with a range of social care needs, while also developing empathy and understanding when working with people in a variety of care environments.

Work Experience

Work Experience Our QQI Level 5 Applied Social Studies course includes a minimum of two weeks of work experience placement in a community service setting such as family resource centres, information centres, and drop-in services.

Our QQI Level 5 Applied Social Studies course provides you with a stepping stone towards a variety of further education and career opportunities. Successful graduates can make informed choices about working or studying further in the vocational areas of applied psychology and social studies.
