Aim
This course aims to provide students with the opportunity to design, develop, secure and test digital systems components for computer network systems, including concepts such as the Internet of Things (IOT) and digital electronics for computing. Building upon their knowledge students will learn the most up to date electronics and digital controller systems (i.e. Arduino, Raspberry PI) to prepare them for a career in this growing area.
We are well known to employers, and many of our graduates have gone on to work in household name companies. Our employer engagement liaison reveals a need for IOT (Internet of Things) and digital systems awareness among systems engineers more generally.
The purpose of this course is to equip the learner with the fundamentals to install, configure and maintain computer systems and basic networks under supervision leading to employment in a range of sectors. It also facilitates progression to further studies at Level 6.
